Benefit From Our Experience

Well, they just recommend the recommendations that they make, you know, about a certain toothbrush or, you know, and, you know you better floss. And sometimes I think…you know, everybody, when they come to the dentist the morning of, they make sure they really clean their teeth and really floss their teeth. You know, they know that I don’t floss my teeth every day.

We’re at Dr. Wilson’s office in Calvert City. And I’ve been coming here, I’m trying to say that I, 15 years at least, I had a dentist in Paducah and I just couldn’t get in. We had an emergency, I couldn’t get in and I had to find another dentist. So a colleague of mine was coming here. So, and I was working in Calvert City at the time. And so I started coming to Dr. Barry and I didn’t stop. I didn’t look back. And I don’t work in Calvert City anymore, but I live in Paducah. I don’t work anymore anyway. But it’s not far and it’s worth it anyway. Worth it because I like his work and they’re very accommodating and they’re friendly and I have confidence in him. He always does the right thing and I think that he does what he needs to do and nothing more.

Like if I was here for a checkup, a cleaning, and they found the problem and told me what was wrong and what we needed to do to correct it. When you come in, the dental assistants are there to keep you calm. Dr. Barry is wonderful about talking to you through the whole procedure, telling you what he’s doing as he’s working and he also is constant, are you okay? Are you feeling any pain? Just wanting to make sure that you’re comfortable.

I’ve had some crowns, of course, I’ve had cavities filled, and they’ve all been so good, so kind to work with. The dental assistants are concerned about your comfort, for you to be calm, for you to not be worried. And you’re in a situation already where you’re a little nervous about, and so they’re very concerned about you being comfortable.

It was not extremely painful, but it was painful and I knew they were going to have to do something. And I never had a root canal. I never had a crown. It was just like nothing. I was amazed because everything is just so easy here or they make it easy. They do their very best to make you comfortable. They tell you what they’re going to do. Now, this may…you’re going to feel pressure here. You’re going to feel this. They tell you everything.

We have been coming here for approximately three to four years. I was traumatized as a kid at a dentist office. I still have a picture of the old chair. I can still smell the office. And so I just was really lax about coming to a dentist. Had a conversation with somebody that’s going to be interviewed next, I believe, here in church. And she said, “Well, I go down here, and Mom and Dad goes down here now.” So we made the appointment and we’ve been coming ever since. And they’re just terrific. I can’t say, from the girls at the desk to the back door, they are absolutely terrific. There was no…if it’s compassion, that’s why I hated going to the dentist. It was just sit down, shut up, open your mouth. And like I said, as a kid, it just traumatized me. And I was thinking, okay, every other dentist is like that too. But they’re not.

He’s always cutting up and going on, and he’ll aggravate and just try to keep you laughing and easy going and that way you don’t think about stuff so much too about what’s going on. So he’s got a real good bedside manner. I’ve never had any issues whatsoever with from the cleanings to the…anything I’ve ever had done has always been great. No issues whatsoever.

Several years I had a bad experience with a dentist and I’m very claustrophobic. I don’t like a lot of the stuff in my mouth and can’t breathe, and so I came here and talked to Dr. Barry and he was very willing to work with me. And I don’t like the gases, so I just like, do what you need to do. When I need up, let me up and I just know I can relax. They’re good about, like I said, working with me. If I want to get up, I get up. I don’t like the gases because that’s just that much more on my face, so they’re just very willing to accommodate and work with me to let me do whatever I need to do to get through.

Brought up the fact that I was interested in getting braces and Dr. Wilson was really nice. He talked me through the whole process. Once I got my cavities fixed, we talked about, he took all of my measurements and I came back in the office and he ran me through the timeline that it would take. And then we put them on, I think, the following month and I had a really hard time. My brackets would pop up very often and all I had to do was call them. Hey, I’m sorry. I’m gonna have to come in early. One of my brackets came off. Okay, and they fit me in the schedule. They got me in. They would move things around for me and it took a little bit longer because my brackets did pop off more often than I think normally, but I was, I’m very pleased with how my teeth are. And any time I had any questions, Dr. Barry or Jennifer was really, really great about explaining anything that I needed to know and making sure that I was fully educated before I left.

I started here just with some minor cavities and out the gate I was pretty anxious. I did not like coming to the dentist. They used, they tried to use the gas on me to see if it would help calm me down. And it ended up kind of not helping, and so it’s gotten to where now they have made me so comfortable here. It’s kind of like walking into my work setting. I know everybody and I’m so comfortable that I don’t have to worry about it. I can come in and there’s no anxiety with it.

Dr. Wilson’s staff is always able to schedule my semi-annual checkups and any repair work around my work schedule. Extremely friendly staff, as is Dr. Wilson. He is always very informative on any dental issue and walks the patient thoroughly over any issues with dental health and all options available to the patient. Very glad to have Dr. Wilson and his staff taking care of my dental health.

I have been very pleased with the care of my oral health at Drs. Barry Wilson and Ashton Pool Hi-Tech Family Dentistry. Both dentists and other staff members are always kind and caring of my comfort and needs. I highly recommend their services!

This office is amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. They are skilled and experienced. The way they communicate, rely on one another is exceptional. I’d highly recommend them!

This office provides the BEST Dental Care that I’ve ever had!🦷🪥Hygienist are VERY gentle when cleaning your teeth 🦷They also provide “Happy Gas” so you can be relaxed before & during procedures. I have fallen asleep while getting procedures done!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a dentist. Two crowns on my upper left jaw teeth and built up three of my upper front teeth from wear on the cutting edge. Absolute pain free experience. Mr.Wilson and his entire staff are great and very friendly. His dental assistant is very professional and knowledgeable. To say the least I was extremely impressed with the whole establishment.
